About the Chefs
Chef Naoyuki Shiraishi – Executive Chef
Chef Nao, born in Tokyo – Japan, was introduced to the culinary world working at his family’s restaurant at a very early age. Now, over 32 years later, his passion for Japanese Cuisine combined with ample years of experience have yielded a variety of tasty dishes that always leaves you craving for more. Chef Nao has worked at some of the top US Japanese and Sushi restaurants like Sushi Samba and Sushi Daruma in Chicago, and Genki Sushi in Honolulu. He currently is a Co-Executive Chef here at our very own Bay Area’s Kamza Sushi Palace. He specializes in both traditional and modern Japanese cuisine and likes to incorporate organic regional ingredients into his sushi and various other delectable dishes.
Chef Katsumi Wako – Executive Chef
Born in Yokohama – Japan, Chef Katsumi was too introduced to the culinary world at a very early age via his family’s restaurants. Chef Katsumi has over 25 years of experience creating fine Japanese dishes. Serving as Chef in various locations such as: Kyoya and Sushi Genkai in Hawaii, and Matsuri Sushi in Benicia, Chef Katsumi’s creativity and style are prevalent in the amazing dishes served at Kamza Sushi Palace.
